Filters for the Whole House

The Aprilaire® Accordion Filters are filters that attach to the HVAC system and filter the entire house. As air is pulled through the system, these filters capture particulates that can wear down the system, keeping the HVAC system more efficient and indoor air healthier to breathe.

Electrostatic Filtration

These Aprilaire® Accordion Filters use special electrostatic filtration, which means they use an electrostatically charged filter media to attract the oppositely charged particles like a magnet. This is a highly efficient filtration method, removing several times more pollutants than regular fiberglass HVAC filters.

These filters are rated by MERV. MERV is the minimum efficiency reporting value, which is the scale designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to rate the effectiveness of air filters.

These filters are available as either a MERV 10 or a MERV 13.

Design

The special accordion design of the Aprilaire® Accordion Filters attributes to its high efficiency. The collapsible design allows ease of replacement and movement, and the self-spacing pleats enhances its ability to capture more particulates. Special Selfseal^TM inhibits air bypass, which allows for greater efficiency for both the filter and the HVAC system and allows the system to deliver more clean air throughout the house.
